ABOUT JOE
Joe Burke is an award-winning independent filmmaker, DGA director, AFI Directing alumnus, and an associate professor of film with more than 12 years of teaching experience.
His latest feature film, Burt, was shot in seven days on a production budget of $7,000 and has since garnered national attention. NBC Palm Springs’ Manny the Movie Guy named it one of the best films of the 2026 Palm Springs International Film Festival. It also won Best Comedy Feature at Cinequest and Best Picture at the Phoenix Film Festival, among other honors.
Joe has extensive experience guiding projects from the earliest idea through production, post-production, festivals, distribution, and audience building.
